Purpose & scope
This policy applies to all BSafe Group sites, projects and operations in Belgium, Europe, Asia, the USA and other global regions. It sets out our commitment to responsible waste management, recycling and sustainability. Guided by multiple ISO standards, it covers the recovery of plastics, organic composting, sustainable recycling and traceability of secondary materials.
Policy statement
BSafe Group is committed to minimising environmental impact by implementing robust recycling programs, reducing waste at source and promoting the use of recyclable and compostable materials. We will partner with certified recycling providers, ensure compliance with relevant environmental regulations and integrate recycling into all operational processes. Our approach aligns with circular economy principles, ensuring that waste is treated as a valuable resource.
Objectives
3.1 Segregate waste at source for improved recycling efficiency.
3.2 Reduce single-use plastics and increase reusable material use.
3.3 Implement traceability measures for secondary materials.
3.4 Conduct employee training on sustainable waste practices.
3.5 Monitor recycling rates and publish annual environmental performance reports.
Responsibilities
- Management: Establish targets for waste reduction, allocate resources and oversee compliance with ISO standards.
- Supervisors: Ensure waste segregation procedures are followed on all sites.
- Employees: Adhere to recycling guidelines and actively reduce personal waste generation.
Review
This policy will be reviewed annually or when new recycling regulations and technologies emerge to ensure compliance, operational efficiency and environmental responsibility.
