Junior Software Engineer

Key Responsibilities: Assist in the design, development, and maintenance of web and cloud-based applications across internal and client projects. Write clean, maintainable, and well-documented code following modern software engineering practices. Collaborate with senior engineers, designers, and project managers to deliver scalable digital solutions. Participate in code reviews, testing, debugging, and performance optimization. Support the development of APIs, backend services, and frontend interfaces for enterprise systems. Contribute to the improvement of internal tools, automation workflows, and digital infrastructure. Assist in integrating third-party services, cloud platforms, and data systems. Follow secure coding standards and support data protection and cybersecurity practices. Document technical processes and contribute to knowledge sharing within the engineering team.
Qualifications & Skills: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field. Strong understanding of software development fundamentals, algorithms, and data structures. Experience with at least one programming language such as Python, JavaScript, Java, or C#. Familiarity with modern web development frameworks (React, Node.js, Django, Laravel, etc.). Understanding of REST APIs, databases, and cloud environments. Knowledge of version control systems (Git) and collaborative development workflows. Basic understanding of containerization, CI/CD pipelines, or DevOps practices is an advantage. Strong problem-solving mindset and analytical thinking. Ability to work in a collaborative, multidisciplinary team environment.

Salary Range: €2,400 – €3,200 per month (gross), depending on qualifications and experience.
Travel Requirements: Occasional travel within Belgium or the EU may be required for client projects, workshops, or team collaboration sessions.
Language Requirements: English (Professional working proficiency) French or Dutch is considered a strong advantage
Certification Requirements: Not mandatory, but the following certifications are considered beneficial:
– Cloud certifications (AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud)
– Software development certifications DevOps or Agile methodology certifications
